"Alabuga Skills" IVth Professional Skills Competition, which was held from February 3 to February 8 at the Alabuga Polytech educational center, has come to an end.

This competition aims to promote vocational careers, spark young people's interest in their chosen fields, encourage a creative approach to work, foster healthy competition, and build confidence in their professional abilities.

Over several days, 95 participants from the Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Mari El, Bashkortostan, St. Petersburg, Ulyanovsk, Samara, and Penza regions competed in industrial automation, electrical installation, automatic fire alarm assembly, and laboratory chemical analysis.

Also, for the first time this year, experts in the field of nursing care performed.

"Alabuga Polytech serves as an industrial hub, enabling representatives from various sectors to compete in specialized skills. We are pleased to share our best practices in training at the professional competition level—this is a significant achievement and a source of pride for us," stated Elvira Fomina, Head of the Educational Cluster at the Alabuga Special Economic Zone.

Alabuga Polytech students participate in the competition annually and consistently achieve impressive results, winning awards and demonstrating skills comparable to those of seasoned professionals across various fields.

Fomina remarked, "This serves as an excellent benchmark for evaluating our competitiveness at the regional level and provides us with valuable feedback on the competencies our students have developed."

Yaroslava Nikolaeva, a first-year Industrial Safety student at Alabuga Polytech, offers an example of the hands-on training provided at the institution. For a competition, she adjusted the settings on security and fire alarm devices.

"I think I'll win because I completed the task correctly, carefully, and quickly," Yaroslava said. "My impressions of the competition are amazing. I’m glad I participated in Alabuga Skills and competed with more experienced specialists."

Maxim Baranov, who studies Industrial Automation, had to troubleshoot and repair issues within the automated control system's cabinet. His task also included configuring a control cabinet and creating a program to mix liquids.

Alabuga Polytech's team consistently achieves numerous awards in these competitions, and there is little doubt that this year's competition will be equally successful. The winners will be formally recognized at the Final Board meeting at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan.
